Tuareg beaded necklace with large Ingall Cross pendant, featuring etched design and light blue glass inset.  A nice beaded necklace to wear grouped with other tribal necklaces or by itself. Perfect for everyday wear. The Ingall Cross is considered one of the Tuareg protective cross pendants but is unlike any other, having a colorful glass inset at one end. Tuareg crosses are worn by men and women alike as a protective amulet.

The Tuareg people are a nomadic Berber people, primarily based in the Sahara of Mali, Niger, Algeria and Libya. The Tuareg are also known as the Blue People because of their indigo-rich clothing. They principally inhabit the Sahara in a vast area stretching from far southwestern Libya to southern Algeria, Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso. Traditionally nomadic pastoralists, small groups of Tuareg are also found in northern Nigeria. Their jewelry is distinctive for the use of geometric shapes and incised designs.
