Hazara Tribal Choker - Vintage Kuchi Fish Dangles Necklace - Belly Dance

Vintage Hazara choker in traditional style with long elaborate fish dangles, niello floral design and a bit of beading along the top edge and connecting the dangles.  This Hazara choker is lined with fabric for a more comfortable fit.  A bit of beading adorns the top edge.  Ties to close at adjustable length.  This style of choker has been worn for centuries and were incorporated into the original tribal belly dance costuming set.  They never go out of style!  

The Hazara originated in the Hazaristan (Hazarajat) region of central Afghanistan with a few being scattered to Pakistan and Iran. Hazara jewelry is often without the colorful jewels that Kuchi jewelry is known for.  It can be delicate, with fine etching, delicate wirework and small dangles, or can be large, simple and solid in unique shapes and designs.
