Vintage Kashmiri Tribal Jhoomer Pendant PAIR - Kuchi Belly Dance
Matching pair of jhoomer-style pendants from the Kashmir. Vintage pendants pair features red and green glass jewels, and lots of pretty stamped dangles. Traditionally, these pendants are worn on headpieces, laying on either side of the forehead. Perfect embellishment for dance costuming!
Large Kuchi jhoomer pendant pair with red and green jewels. About 4-3/8 inches from ring to bottom of dangles, and about 3 inches wide. Jhoomer pendants are tradtionally worn on a headpiece, with these matching pieces hanging over the sides or slightly toward the front. Made of mixed metals and unpolished. This pair is matching, but the large glass jewels are different colors. Tribal pendants are very versatile and can be used for many costuming purposes.
The mountainous regions of far northeastern Afghanistan, northern Pakistan, Kashmir and northern India are a trove of jewelry designs.
