Vintage Balochi Headpiece - Petite Baloch Headpiece for Belly Dance

This small vintage Balochi headpiece is made in a typical design with chain, a round centerpiece and triangular pendant with hollow dangles.  You can still see the original hooks at the ends of the chains for attaching to scarf or turban.  Fabric backing is new and has a bit of beading along the top edge, and includes a circular band running around the head like a headband, and another running front to back across the top of the head.  It fits a bit like a cap and can be adjusted easily by taking it in or adding additional fabric. 

Balochistan, is one of the four provinces of Pakistan. It is the largest province in terms of land area, forming the southwestern region of the country. Its provincial capital and largest city is Quetta. Traditionally, Baloch women wore earrings, nose rings, necklace and bracelets, rings on both fingers and toes, and armlets. Ornaments of various kinds were also worn on the head or in the hair including tassels of various kinds, which are worn in the hair near the back of the head and fall below the length of the hair to make it appear longer.
