Vintage Kashmiri pendant with glass jewels. Tribal pendants are perfect for dance costuming, accessories, or boho ornamentation. Stylized birds’ heads are a traditional design in many parts of the east Asian world. The mountainous region of Kashmir, in far northeastern Afghanistan, northern Pakistan, and northwestern India are a trove of jewelry designs. Here many cultures overlap and jewelry styles intertwine and meld, becoming seemingly familiar and yet distinctly different. Etching and large jewels are standard on pendants from this region.
