Small almond shaped pendant with an impressed design on the face. This design is from the Rif area in northern Morocco where you can often see the almond shape reflected in fibula and other jewelry pieces. It is a a mixture of influences - part arabesque of Andalouse and part Moroccan Berber. Hollow pendants have coiled bales, rounded tops and flat backs. Made in Marrakesh. There are multiples of these available, and all have a matching design, though there are small differences in the depth of design, crispness of the pattern, etc. The perfect small pendant for necklace making or other DIY projects.
