Vintage Kashmiri pendant necklace comprised of one large etched pendant in a stylized ‘birds head’ design. Large glass jewels on the central pendant and smaller necklace links. The mountainous region of far northeastern Afghanistan, northern Pakistan, the Kashmir and northern India are a trove of jewelry designs. Here many cultures overlap and jewelry styles intertwine and meld, becoming seemingly familiar and yet distinctly different.
