Vintage Banjara necklace with large crescent pendant, handmade chain and lots of bells. Lots of details on this piece! Part of the traditional Banjara women's jewelry ensemble. Wear as a necklace or use the pendant to embellish your own unique costuming piece. A pretty tribal piece to compliment your dance ensemble or add to boho clothing. Banjara women are known for their clothing of colorful cotton embellished with mirrors, bells, coins, beading and embroidery and for their expertise in dance. They also wear many pieces of jewelry, often while working. Indeed, many pieces are never taken off and are a permanent part of their costume and dress.
